Apple Crisp

A sweet treat with plenty of apples to eat! Enjoy this wonderful dish for breakfast or for dessert.

Ingredients

Base:

  • 4 to 6 Apples of your choice (Our favorite is Cosmic Crisp)
  • 1 Tbsp Oat Flour or Regular Flour
  • 1 – 16 oz Whole-Berry Cranberry Sauce (no added sugar recommended)

Topping:

  • 1½ cup Quick-Cooking or Old Fashioned Oats
  • ⅓ cup Sugar
  • ⅓ cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ cup Oat Flour or Regular Flour
  • 2 Tbsp Flaxseed Meal
  • 2 Tbsp Avocado Oil (or Olive Oil)
  • 4 Tbsp melted butter 
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Chop or slice the apples into bite size chunks
  3. In a large bowl, combine apples, flour and cranberry sauce
  4. Transfer apples to a 9 x 13 baking pan coated with cooking spray
  5. In a separate bowl, combine and mix together the topping ingredients
  6. Sprinkle topping evenly over apples in the pan
  7. Cover pan with foil and bake for 40 minutes
  8. Remove the covering and bake for another 5 to 10 min to crisp the top
  9. Let cool before serving
