Ingredients
- ¾ cup Shortening or Butter (1½ sticks)
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2½ cup Flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Nutmeg
- 1 container of Cream Cheese Frosting (choose flavor as desired)
Directions
- Mix together first four ingredients thoroughly
- Blend in the next four ingredients
- Cover and chill in refrigerator for at least 1 hour
- Roll dough ⅛ inch thick on lightly floured surface
- Cut into desired shapes
- Place on ungreased baking sheet
- Bake 5-6 minutes or until lightly browned
- Remove from pan onto wire rack to cool
- Frost and decorate cookies
- (Optional) Freeze cookies for later
